竹浪音羽　Takenami Otoha

 1989年静岡県生まれ、東京都在住。美学校、パレットクラブスクール修了。アーティスト・イラストレーションとして活動。装画に文庫本『川のほとりで羽化するぼくら』（彩瀬まる著、角川文庫、2024）、『黙って喋って』（ヒコロヒー著、朝日新聞出版、2024）など。

竹浪は、自身が撮影した景色の写真を元にした風景画をメインに制作。街、自然、部屋など、日常のささやかな風景を描く竹浪の絵には、ときにそこへ架空の生き物や人物が現れることもあります。赤・青・黄の3色と、白・黒のみを用い、アクリル絵の具とパステルで描かれるこれらの作品は、まるで短編の物語の一節のように、観る者を絵画の向こう側へと誘います。

Born in 1989 in Shizuoka Prefecture, lives and works in Tokyo.
Completed programs at Bigakko and Palette Club School. Works as both an artist and illustrator.
Her illustration works include book covers such as “Kawa no hotori de uka suru bokura” (written by Maru Ayase, Kadokawa Bunko, 2024) and “Damatte shabette” (written by Hiccorohee, Asahi Shimbun Publishing, 2024).

Takenami mainly creates landscape paintings based on photographs she has taken herself.
Her works depict the quiet, everyday scenery of cities, nature, and interiors — yet, at times, imaginary creatures or figures appear within them.
Using only three colors — red, blue, and yellow — along with black and white, she paints with acrylics and pastels to construct scenes that feel like fragments of short stories, gently inviting the viewer beyond the surface of the picture.
